I think the landlady story is an interesting variation on the classic witch stories with lots of mistrust and caution because that is exactly how the story is laid out. In the story Billy comes into contact with such as the landlady knowing that he was coming to her and being at the door waiting for him as well as having a room ready for him and a hot water bottle in the bed. This can suggest that she has witch like abilities to sense that he was coming. This story was also full of mistrust, caution and it also contained the sense of what happens next like most of the classics. This was a very interesting take on the classic because it puts a whole different spin on the classics which makes it unique and interesting.
